Don Evans Britain is leaving because the result of a democratic referendum dictated this. If you had compulsory voting, it might have had a different result. Those who were too lazy or negative to be bothered to vote, only have themselves to blame. Some aspects of democracy don’t work, do they. However it is not democratic to try to change a referendum result just because it doesn’t suit you. Also, it’s up to you all to accept Brexit and get on with things. It would be stupid to remain embittered and divided but then it’s up to you how you react. I favour working hard for the Queen 50th anniversary 1970 2020 signatures thank you shirt success. It's perfectly democratic to campaign for what you believe. If we adopted your understanding we'd never have abolished slavery or granted the vote to women.
