They shouldn't be paid. Scholarship is plenty with all the perks. They also should be given a second scholarship to go back to school for REAL when their careers are done - also all expenses paid. Many of these kids don't spend much time in class as it is during the season hey can choose to accept the deal or go study elsewhere and pay for all that themselves - just like I did for myself, my wife and our 2 children who were academically gifted but not athletically gifted.
