We recycle our food waste, as dictated by our local council. Ive only just found out that it goes into landfill. Whats the point. Be great if we could adopt this system all over the Beto O’Rourke Santa for President 2020 Sweat shirt. In Vancouver we've have organic recycling bins for years. It's collected and made into mountains of compost. In Preston the council scrapped food collections years ago. We used to have a separate bin for all food waste. Due to cost cutting they scrapped to collection and it now goes in the black bin like before.
Composting and similar ways of recycling your food waste has been done for centuries. In the city its much harder, but there are always collecting bins. This is not news at all. Food has been recycled as compost since the year dot, used as pig feed or in gas digesters to generate electricity. Compost such a new idea that the young eco people have come up with why didn't us old ones that ruined the planet think of that.
