I dementia cared for 3 years hardest thing ive ever done quite frequently cried for these poor souls in my car after visits its absolutely savage and heartbreaking for everyone involved. Two English older relatives died having had it for several years but now a close friend has been diagnosed at 70 after a few years of what we thought might be this cruel could condition. I do hope more help is available to those that have it and their families. My mother was diagnosed at 59. Devastating. She now lives in a nursing home. This was being paid for by NHS but they have now ruled that they will no longer pay. So not only does my family lose my mother but my father has to pay out alot of money as he would be simply unable to care for her at home.
